The First Responders Suicide Prevention Program recognizes the need to strengthen mental health programs for first responders. This program aims to:

1.

Increase access to peer support and mental health awareness and intervention training for First Responders and their families.

2.

Reduce the incidence of deaths by suicide among the First Responder community by supporting evidence-based interventions, specifically lethal means safety and related training and support.

3.

Design and deliver a campaign to combat mental health stigma among First Responders and their families.

Here at IMHC we understand what a burden it is to not properly deal with the traumatic experiences you endure at work, day in and day out. On top of that, you want to seek therapy in the town you are a first responder in and everyone knows you. To ensure your discretion, we want you to know that we have a private entrance you can use so you don’t have to worry about running into your peers sitting in the waiting room. At the time of your appointment you can enter through our side door which will be prearranged through a discrete hallway so you can get the therapy you want and need to work through traumatic events, personal stressors, or conflict you may be bringing home and not realizing from a bad day at work. Sometimes it’s good to express how you’re feeling or talk through a rough day with someone who isn’t your spouse, or your family and that’s what we are here for. Schedule your appointment to meet your therapist today, or when you’re ready, we will always be here for you.
